This painting is about the times in our lives when we encounter turmoil - a turbulent, dark sea and clouds that are heavy with a storm that looks like it won't end until it consumes us. Even holding two umbrellas won't protect us - we are sure to drown. However, amidst the challenges, sometimes there is an epiphany. It's like a bucket coming off our head and we realize we can overcome our situation. Through determination and will power we survive and triumph. There is joy and relief in that moment when we choose to endure and in way, manifest our own miracle.
