This is another image where I contemplated war in a very simple way. The young man stares into the distance unaware of the projectile that just passed through his head. I kept this painting simple because I was also simultaneously exploring the technique. You can get a good sense of the texture in the detail below. I’ve also included the original sketch and a picture of the painting in its frame. Details included.
